Azerbaijani MFA believes it is necessary to establish a dialogue between Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Nagorno-Karabakh

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has stated at a meeting with the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Herbert Zalber that the unresolved Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is the main threat to peace and safety in the region. According to international agreements, Armenia should withdraw its troops from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan in order to change the status quo.

Elmar Mammadyarov added that it was necessary to establish contacts and a dialogue between the Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Nagorno-Karabakh to resolve the conflict, APA reports.
