Azerbaijani President: Nagorno-Karabakh talks should be resumed

A peaceful political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the format of high-level talks should be restored, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with a delegation of the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the European Union.

"In my opinion, the negotiation format should be resumed. In a few days I will meet with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to discuss further negotiations, as well as a possible meeting at the presidential level," the Azerbaijani president said.

The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group will arrive in Baku on October 7, after visiting Yerevan.
