Yesterday the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (AMEA) approved the Azerbaijani Science Development Doctrine.
The AMEA Presidium ordered to submit the Doctrine for the approval of the President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.
Within the discussion AMEA president Akif Alizadeh stressed that the Doctrine envisages a range of measures aimed at the preservation and development of the existing scientific and technological capacity, improvement of systems of management, organization and funding of science. The Doctrine sets a goal to train highly-specialized personnel, the priorities of research to address country’s socio-economic problems and the problems of culture and society, the integration of science and education, strengthening of the regulatory framework and information support of science, and improvement of social security of scientific officials, abc. az reports.
