Azerbaijani armed forces prevent Armenia's raid on border

A reconnaissance group of the Armenian Armed Forces tried to violate the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border on December 29 morning.

“The enemy suffered losses in the ensuing clash and had to retreat,” the Azerbaijani Defense ministry said.

A soldier of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Gurbanov Chingiz, is missing as a result of the shootout.

The ministry said that apparently Armenia doesn’t need relative calmness at the Nagorno-Karabakh front line and thus resorts to such provocations. "If the enemy further continues these kind of actions, it will face heavy losses," Trend cited the ministry as saying.
