On the afternoon of June 19, the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the settlement of Zivel, Kalbajar district, were subjected to fire by the Armenian Armed Forces. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
The fire was opened by the Armenian armed forces with sniper rifles and small arms from positions located in the direction of the settlement of Yukhari Shorja, Basarkechar district.
The Ministry noted that the units of the Azerbaijani army had taken adequate response measures.
Earlier it was reported that the Armenian Armed Forces had shelled the Azerbaijani army positions in the direction of the settlements of Yukhara Ayrim, Barmagbin and Zivel of the Kalbajar region the night before and on the night of June 18-19.
