On the night of July 15-16, the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the settlement of Zyaylik of the Kalbajar region were subjected to intensive shelling from the armed forces of Armenia, a message published on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reads.
The shelling was carried out by the Armenian Armed Forces from various types of small arms from positions located in the direction of the settlement of Yukhari Shorja, Basarkechar region, from 04:00 to 04:50 local time (from 03:00 to 03:50 Moscow time).
The department noted that the units of the Azerbaijani army took adequate response measures, as a result of which the enemy was suppressed.
