A native of Azerbaijan living in Türkiye participates in space mission. The spacecraft was launched from the US launching site.
A Turkish astronaut of Azerbaijani origin flew into space. The spacecraft with Tuva Cihangir Atasever on board took off from the US launching site.
He wears uniform with Azerbaijani and Turkish flags.
“During the mission, I will have with me the flag of Türkiye that was given to me by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in April at the TEKNOFEST festival. I will also take with me the flag of Azerbaijan, the homeland of my mother. Both flags will be on my chest,”
