Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers have finished third in the overall medal table of the European Championships in Bucharest, Romania, according to the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation.
Azerbaijani wrestlers grabbed six medals, including three golds. The gold medals were clinched by Haji Aliyev, Jabrayil Hasanov and Sharif Sharifov. Aghahuseyn Mustafayev won silver, while Mahir Amiraslanov and Nurmahammad Hajiyev took bronze medals of the tournament.
Russia topped the medal table followed by Turkey.
