Azerbaijani gymnasts lead at Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku

Azerbaijani gymnasts are leading in the first individual qualification round of the rhythmic gymnastics competitions at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku.

As a result of the first round, the best result was shown by Zhala Piriyeva, who scored 16.3 points in the individual exercises with a hoop. Marina Durunda, who performed with the ball, at the third place with 16.2 points. Zohra Aghamirova is at the fifth place with 14.95 points in the exercise with the ball.

Uzbek gymnasts Anastasiya Serdyukova, Sabina Tashkenbaeva and Nurinisso Usmanova took the second, fourth and sixth places after the first round.

The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games started May 8 and will last until May 22 in Baku on 16 sports grounds in 20 sports – 17 Olympic ones and three non-Olympic ones.
