Azerbaijani athletes took third place at the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships. The tournament started in the Hungarian capital Budapest, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) said.
Based on the results of the qualifications, Govkhar Ibragimova, Ilakha Bakhadirova, Shams Agaguseinova and Fidan Gurbanli won bronze medals in the team competition.
In addition to this, all four athletes made it to the finals of various apparatus exercises. Govhar Ibragimova will compete for medals in exercises with a hoop, Ilakha Bakhadirova will perform in the finals with a ball, Fidan Gurbanli will compete for medals in exercises with clubs, Shams Agaguseynova will perform in the program with a ribbon.
The 2024 European Championships in rhythmic gymnastics will last until May 26.
Let us remind you that at the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships, which was held in Baku in early May, Azerbaijani juniors won two silver medals. Shams Agaguseinova took second place in the ribbon program, and Ilakha Bakhadirova showed the second result in exercises with the ball.
