Azerbaijani male gymnasts Oleg Stepko, Petro Pakhnyuk and Eldar Safarov have won a bronze medal at the First European Games in Baku. Stepko said that the medal was an achievement of the team and the Azerbaijani Federation of Gymnastics. He thanked all the spectators for their support.
Pakhnyuk admitted that a lot of effort had been put into winning the medal. The athlete added that he marvelled at the Athletes' Village, especially the convenience of its canteen.
Safarov called the medal his greatest achievement of its kind. He expressed hope for further progress, for example, at the World Championship in September and the European Championship in 2016.
