Azerbaijan was again strong at the second day of the Podcetrtek Senior European Cup 2024. With four gold medals, one silver and 3 bronze medals, the Azerbaijani judokas dominated the tournament held on June 15-16 June in Slovenia.
In the men's U81 category, Azerbaijani judoka Magerram Imamverdiev clinched the gold medal, defeating Igor Tsurkan from Ukraine in the final.
Azerbaijani judoka Imran Yusifov won the gold medal in the men's O100 category, besting Alieksiei Moisieiev from Ukraine, who took silver. Mortaza Suha from Germany and Jamal Feyziyev from Azerbaijan both earned bronze medals.
Azerbaijani judokas Nazir Talibov (66 kg) and Nariman Mirzoev (73 kg) also won gold medals, while Kamran Suleymanov (73 kg) won silver, Rashid Elkiev (66 kg) and and Rovshan Aliyev (60 kg) - won bronze medals.
