Azerbaijani national team in artistic gymnastics will perform at the World Cup in Baku on March 16-19 in an excellent form, Irina Pravdina, head coach of the national team, said today in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.
"Our work is certainly difficult, competing in your home country is always very hard. It supports you, but there's also a huge responsibility," she said, adding that the national team and each athlete will try to get the best result at the upcoming tournament.
She pointed out high level of competition at the World Cup in Baku. "Many strong athletes from different countries came to Baku for this year's tournament, so it will be very hard to reach the finals. But we will continue to train and will show everything we can at the tournament," she stressed.
World Cup in Artistic Gymnastics will be held in Baku on March 16-19. Women and men from 23 countries will participate in it. Qualifying competitions will be held on the first two days, and the last two days will be devoted to the finals in individual exercises. There will be six sets of awards for men and four sets of awards for women.
