In Azerbaijan, the amendments to the law on the police, signed by President Ilham Aliyev, have entered into force.
According to the amendments, the police have the right to maintain the safety of participants and audiences, as well as public order during mass sporting events, at sports arenas, where the participation of spectators is expected, at the territories adjacent to sports facilities, as well as to take measures for evacuation to prevent violence, abc.az reports.
According to presidential decree, within three months, the legal and regulatory framework will be adjusted in accordance with approved legal amendments.
