Today the Azerbaijani Parliament approved amendments to the law 'On the police'.
According to the amendments, the police received the right to use physical force, special means and firearms in preventing terrorism or religious extremism, as well as crimes aimed at changing the constitutional system, Abc.az reports.
The amendments were adopted in the framework of the compliance with the law 'On fighting religious extremism'.
