The Azerbaijani polo team won the first ever European Championship in this sport, which was held at the equestrian club ‘Elite Horse’ and ‘Polo Club’ in the Baku suburb of Bina.
In the final the team defeated its rivals from Germany by a score of 6:5.
Third place went to the Irish athletes who defeated the team from Spain in the match for bronze.
Fifth and sixth places were taken by the representatives of Switzerland and Italy, Trend reports.
