In connection with this, the leadership of the country's Armed Forces made a decision on urgent response measures. Azerbaijani army units in the Agder-Tartar-Aghdam and Khojavend-Fizuli directions, artillery units and other troops are currently carrying out a coordinated response actions against the invaders. "The public will be further informed about the situation on the front," the statement says.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has denied information about a helicopter of the country's Air Forces allegedly downed on the frontline, about which media previously reported, referring to the Defense Ministry. In addition, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry noted that the current situation on the frontline is tense. As a result of the attack, one civilian was killed and one was wounded.
Moreover, the press service of the Ministry stated that over the past day the Armenian Armed Forces violated the ceasefire regime in various directions of the contact line 127 times. Positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces located in the villages of Gyzylgadzhili and Gazakhsky and the Agbulag and Tovuzsky districts were attacked, as well as positions in the nameless heights on the territory of the Gedabeysky district. Taking into account the operational situation, the Azerbaijani side has inflicted 130 strikes on the enemy positions.
In turn, the Armenian Defense Ministry issued a statement, in which it accused the Azerbaijani side of starting the offensive actions on the contact line.
Later, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry issued a statement about the destruction of a large number of manpower, military equipment and infrastructure of the Armenian Armed Forces in the occupied territories by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. According to the report, the tension on the contact line of troops, which arose as a result of a diversion of the Armenian Armed Forces on the night of April 2nd, continues to this day.
As became known from official sources, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received reports about the increasing tension on the contact line. It should be noted that the head of the Azerbaijani state is currently on an official visit to the United States.
