Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense comments on Mnatsakanyan's statement

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense commented on the remarks of the head of the criminal-military regime created in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, Levon Mnatsakanyan, about "striking Azerbaijan’s Mingachevir Hydro Power Station in the event of necessity." 

The ministry said that the analysis of the Armenian press in recent days shows the delusional statements by this country’s military and political leadership and representatives of the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh prove that they are seriously concerned, are in fear and panic.

The Azerbaijani defense ministry also noted that the country's army is ready for any development of events on the frontline, stressing that the most advanced weapons at the Azerbaijani army’s disposal and possess destructive power are capable of destroying all important military facilities and strategic communications of the enemy in a short period of time, APA reported.

"Before making such irresponsible statements, the Armenian side should think that there are facilities in Armenia, after the destruction of which there will be no life in these territories for hundreds of years," the Azerbaijani defense ministry's press service concluded.
