The Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan has reported significant growth of interest in education in Russian language, abc.az
The head of the Ministerial Department of Preschool & Secondary Education, Aydin Ahmadov, has stated that if earlier coverage of the Russian-speaking sector made up 6% of the total number of pupils, now this indicator is 14-15%.
"Parents are free to choose the language of education, and that is their right. The organization of the Russian-speaking sector in every school should be individual, that is, where it is not possible, the Russian-speaking sector is created," Ahmadov said.
