Georgian chess grandmaster Zurab Azmaiparashvili was re-elected president of the European Chess Union. The election was held during the 89th FIDE Congress in Batumi.
The only candidate, Azmaiparashvili, was re-elected with 44 out of 50 votes.
For the first time, Azmaiparashvili was elected as the ECU president in 2014.
