Today, the capital of Tatarstan will host the opening ceremony of the 2024 BRICS Games.
The BRICS Games will be held in Kazan on June 12-23 and will feature events in 27 different sports.
About 5,000 athlets from 97 countries are expected to participate in the 2024 BRICS Games, which will feature events in 20 different sports. Participants will compete for more than 380 sets of prizes.
The program of the upcoming tournament features Rhythmic Gymnastics, Fencing, Synchronized Swimming, Judo, Diving, Badminton, Karate, Wrestling, Sambo, Wushu, Koresh Belt Wrestling and other competitions.
Athletes from other countries besides the BRICS member states (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) will take part in the BRICS Games at this year’s event in Kazan, in particular Azerbaijan, Georgia, Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Cuba, North Korea and Moldova.
