BRICS states to coordinate youth policy

Sergey Pospelov, head of the Russian Federal Agency of Youth Affairs, said that ministers of youth affairs of BRICS states (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) will sign a joint action plan on youth policy in Kazan, within the framework of the first BRICS Youth Summit, TASS reports.


Kazan will host the Summi on July 3-6. It will be attended by 200 representatives of the countries. They include young scientists, post-graduates, members of enterprises and non-commercial organizations. They will have a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on July 2.


The extensive program in Kazan will consist of political, economic, humanitarian, information and scientific and technical elements. Alexey Ovchinnikov, deputy director of the Department on Planning of Foreign Policy at the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that the goal was to unite and coordinate young leaders.
