In an interview with Bild newspaper, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock shared her feelings about the joint photo of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with Russian and Iranian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ebrahim Raisi.
According to her, the presence of the Turkish leader in the photo is a challenge. "The fact that the Turkish president is in this photo is a challenge, to be kind," TASS quotes Baerbock as saying.
The head of the German Foreign Ministry noted that Turkey, being a member of NATO, plays important role amid the situation around Ukraine. “Therefore, this photo is not clear to me from the point of view of a NATO member,” the minister explained.
