Bahrain reports first case of Omicron COVID-19 variant

The first carrier of the Omicron coronavirus strain was registered in Bahrain, the Kingdom's Ministry of Health informs.

It is clarified that a tourist turned out to be infected. “He was immediately sent to isolation, and appropriate measures were taken to protect his health,” TASS news agency reports.

It is clarified that the Ministry of Health is taking all the necessary steps to protect the population from the spread of the Omicron and other COVID-19 variants in the country.
