Georgia's Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, speaking before the cabinet meeting, confirmed that German Chancellor Angela Merkel will visit Georgia on August 23.
"This very important visit will once again prove that Georgia is a reliable partner for Europe and the EU stands by our side," Agenda.ge cited Bakhtadze as saying.
It will be Merkel's second visit to Georgia - she first arrived in Tbilisi in August 2008.
