The explosion on the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline’s section in Turkey wasn’t a terrorist attack, the residence of the governor of Turkey’s Kars province, where the pipeline runs, said.
The governor’s residence said the explosion was caused by a gas leak. After the explosion, the gas supply via the pipeline was suspended.
“No one was injured in the explosion. The pipeline’s section, damaged by explosion, is currently being restored," Trend cited the governor’s residence as saying.
