Baku, Yerevan close war chapter, Ilham Aliyev says

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev outlined the country's priorities and place in the current political and economic realities. He specifically touched on the peace settlement with Armenia, noting that the countries have de facto achieved peace.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that Baku seeks cooperation with all its neighbors, including Yerevan. This became possible thanks to the peace settlement. According to Aliyev, Baku and Yerevan have closed the war chapter.

"I am very pleased that over the years of independence, we have managed to build very close working relations with all our neighbors, with the exception, of course, of Armenia, for reasons that are well known to everyone. After de facto peace was established, we started economic cooperation and export operations,”

– Ilham Aliyev said.
