Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov discussed the prospects of cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries with the Turkish ambassador to Baku, Ismail Alper Dzhoshgun. The importance of the joint exercises of the Air Forces 'TurAz Qartalı - 2015' was emphasized at the meeting, the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
The Defense Minister noted the rapidly developing bilateral cooperation in the military, military-technical and military-educational spheres with the organization of mutual visits and joint exercises.
During the meeting Ismail Alper Dzhoshgun introduced the new military attaché of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Brigadier General Ihsan Bashbozkurta to Zakir Hasanov, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
