A thick layer of smog rolled into Azerbaijan’s capital city of Baku, turning skyscrapers into shadows and clear air into a dust fog.
The monitoring results showed that the amount of dust in the air is above the sanitary norm.
The ecology ministry announced that such a dusty weather in Baku and Absheron peninsula is caused by dusty air masses entering from the territory of Turkmenistan, AzerNews reported.
Dusty conditions will continue over the next three days, forecasters said.
