The UEFA published an article on its website stating that Baku is fully ready to host the 2020 European Football Championship matches.
The article emphasizes that Baku has asserted itself as a popular host city, capable of conducting high-quality and professional international sports events.
According to Elkhan Mammedov, Secretary General of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan, the Euro-2020 matches will help to attract more people to football. “It is important for us to maintain the level of interest in football, both in the country and in the regions. Our legacy will be that more children will play football, thus contributing to a healthy lifestyle and building a healthier nation, ”he said
