Last Sunday the bike ride 'Get to know yourself and world on two wheels' took place in Baku.
At 9am, about 35 cyclists launched the journey from State Flag Square, accompanied by two vehicles of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation.
The group of cyclists stopped near the İntourist Hotel, reached the Gosha Gala Gates by Istiglaliyyat Street and made another stop on the territory of the Icheri Sheher historical-architectural reserve. The cyclists visited the Maiden Tower and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and two Caravanserais.
The bike ride finished near the Boulevard Hotel. Organizers and cyclists revealed the main goals and objectives of the program at a press conference at the finish line of the ride. In particular, they discussed proposals for the installation of bicycle parking racks in the city's hotels, cafes and sightseeing places, as well as a lack of proper road infrastructure for the movement of bicycles, Trend reports.
