Baku hosts closing ceremony of TEKNOFEST International Aviation, Space and Technology Festival

Baku hosted the closing ceremony of the TEKNOFEST International Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, Trend reported.

The closing of the TEKNOFEST international festival was attended by the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev, Technical Director of the Turkish company Baykar Makina Seljuk Bayraktar, as well as a number of other ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

The minister stressed that during these four days, the Azerbaijani youth had learned a lot from the festival.

In turn, Bayraktar said that the next TEKNOFEST could be held again in Baku and other cities of the country.

Nabiev and Bayraktar expressed satisfaction with the event, and also thanked the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the opportunity to hold TEKNOFEST in Azerbaijan.

Within four days, from May 26-29, international exhibitions of Turkish and Azerbaijani companies were organized at the festival, entertainment programs, air shows and a number of other events were organized.

TEKNOFEST in Baku is held by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan. At the same time, the TEKNOFEST production office operates in Baku. The full staff of the office consists of Azerbaijani specialists.

The event has been held annually since 2018, with the joint organization of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, which is managed by the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology and the technical director of Baykar Makina, in partnership with more than 60 Turkish state institutions, universities and private companies.

The goal is to popularize such areas as aviation, space industry and digital economy, to encourage entrepreneurship in these areas, to identify the knowledge and skills of young engineers through competitions organized within the framework of the festival, as well as to present national technologies to the general public.
