Baku turns into gymnastic world's center

A number of large-scale competitions in various gymnastic disciplines will be held by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation in 2019.

So, on February 16-17 of the coming year, the Trampoline World Championships will be held in Baku, and a month later - on 14-17 March, the World Gymnastics World Cup will start in the capital of Azerbaijan.

April and May will be marked by the rhythmic gymnastics performances. The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup will be held in the National Gymnastics Arena from April 26 to April 28, and the European Championships will take place on May 16-19.

In addition, in 2019, the Federation will hold the European Championships in two types of gymnastics for the first time. So, after the rhythmic gymnastics competition, from May 24 to 26, the strongest aerobic gymnastics athletes will visit Azerbaijan.

Then, from 20 to 28 July, the European Youth Olympic Festival will start in the Azerbaijani capital. As part of this event, the competitions in gymnastics will be held in the National Gymnastics Arena.

The last competition in 2019 will be the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship: it will start on September 16 and end on September 22nd.

The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation stressed that the main distinguishing feature of all three Cups, as well as the World Cup, is that the sportsmen participating in the competitions will receive the licenses for the 2020 Olympic Games.
