Azerbaijan intends to become a full member of the BRICS group. The Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, informed about this.
"Azerbaijan promotes dialogue, cooperation and solidarity in its foreign policy. This applies to bilateral relations and activities within international platforms. In particular, this applies to cooperation with BRICS. Azerbaijan has already expressed its desire to join BRICS",
Sahiba Gafarova said.
According to her, increased cooperation at the parliamentary level will lead to this goal. Therefore, as Sahiba Gafarova noted, it is so important to promote inter-parliamentary dialogue, which can overcome the misunderstanding that arises between countries.
In conclusion, the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament expressed confidence that the BRICS Parliamentary Forum will become such a platform for friendship and cooperation.
