According to the head of the press service of the Southern Military District, Vadim Astafyev, the coastal missile system Bal will be deployed by the Caspian Flotilla on the Caspian coast of Dagestan. The complex consists of (up to ten) vehicles on the MAZ-7930 platform.
"In the Republic of Dagestan, the combat crews of the Bal coastal missile system, which is in service with the coastal forces of the Caspian Flotilla, took up combat duty on New Year's holidays," RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
