UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the bombing of the hospital organization Doctors Without Boundaries by the US military in the Afghan city of Kunduz. He also urged to investigate the incident.
Ban Ki-moon pointed out that the hospital and medical staff are protected by the international law. Nobody has a right to airstrike medical institutions, even if terrorists may hide there.
Recall that the US air forces supported Afghan soldiers when they were retaking the city of Kunduz, captured by the Taliban. At least 19 people were killed due to erroneous airstrikes. 12 of them were employees of the hospital. Another 30 were injured, Interfax reports.
