Ban Ki-moon urges Moscow and Ankara to ease tensions

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is experiencing ‘extreme concern’ about Russian-Turkish relations, and urges the parties to ‘‘reduce tensions’’.

He made such a statement in Paris, where he arrived in order to attend tomorrow’s opening conference on climate change.

In particular, Ban Ki-moon appealed to Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan to "reduce tensions" for the fight against the banned organization Islamic State, Tass reports.
