A famous musician, composer, TV and radio producer, screenwriter, director and producer, Vasily Vakulenko, better known by stage name Basta, speaking to Vestnik Kavkaza, said that his whole art is threaded by Caucasian culture.
"I mean the culture of the Caucasus, which relates to temperament, character. I think that I use it everytime when I speak about worthy concepts and life positions," he said.
A year and a half ago, Basta gave a concert in Baku, which left positive memories. "I liked Baku then - it's a beautiful, ancient southern city. Even a restaurant was in a castle. The audience's support was great and warm," the musician said, adding that he is ready to perform in the Azerbaijani capital in the future.
According to Basta, he was everywhere in the Caucasus. "I have not performed everywhere, but I've been everywhere. I was born in Rostov, we have representatives of all the Caucasian nationalities. There are 112 nationalities living in Rostov, so I know all the cultures of the Caucasus in absentia," he concluded.
