China is ready to continue strengthening cooperation with Russia in the energy sector. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"The Chinese side is ready to strengthen further interconnectedness with the Russian side, actively promote energy cooperation along the entire production chain in the upstream, midstream and downstream (exploration, production, movement and refining of oil - ed.)," the message posted on the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry says.
In addition, the heads of foreign affairs agencies agreed to develop the Olympic spirit, jointly oppose the politicization of sports, and also supported the successful holding of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, TASS reports.
