President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the republic was strengthening the state border with Ukraine.
“Unfortunately, it’s not easy for us with Ukraine. And we have to quickly create an appropriate grouping there to cover almost one and a half thousand kilometers of the border with Ukraine. It is a huge stretch of land", he said, adding that an additional contingent of armed forces was sent to this area.
He further stressed that he had to do so "because the situation on the border with Ukraine is not better than with Poland".
