Belarus warns against dramatization of protests in Armenia

Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said at a press conference in Minsk today that foreign states should not dramatize the protests against higher electricity fees in Armenia, as they will end peacefully and democratically, RIA Novosti reports.
The minister said that the protests in Armenia were an internal affair of the country and a normal democratic process. The Armenian authorities are ready for a dialogue, according to Makei.
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan said that an independent audit will be carried out of the Armenian Electricity Network company. The government will compensate the expenditures from the new electricity prices after the audit.
