Benthos level increases in Sivash Bay

In the west of the Sea of Azov, in the Sivash Bay, the level of bottom organisms, benthos, has increased, while the number of large animals decreased, the Sevastopol Kovalevsky Institute of Biology of the South Seas informs.

"Scientists conducted a study of the bottom inhabitants of the world's largest hypersaline lagoon - Sivash Bay - also known as the Rotten Sea," the Institute reports.
