Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will hold talks today with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko, who arrived in Ashgabat on an official visit.
The Presidents will discuss the development of cooperation in the trade, economic, industrial, agrarian and educational spheres. Following the meeting, a package of documents designed to expand the partnership between Turkmenistan and Belarus is expected to be signed.
The Presidents will also take part in the opening ceremony of the embassy of Belarus in Ashgabat, RIA Novosti reported.
One of the main events of Lukashenko's visit to Turkmenistan will be the opening of the Garlyk Ore Mining and Processing Plant for the production of potash fertilizers.
