Berlin warns Nord Stream 2 critics

Criticism of Nord Stream 2 is unreasonable, the chairman of the Bundestag, Wolfgang Schäuble, said.

He noted that the position of Berlin regarding the project led to the erosion of East European partners' confidence in Germany, but now actions against the gas project could harm Europe.

"From a European point of view, sabotaging a project in a roundabout way is an irrational decision," Schäuble noted in an article published in Die Welt, RIA Novosti reports.
