U.S. President Joe Biden will visit Israel following an invitation from Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, according to Al Jazeera.
While both governments confirmed that Biden had accepted the invitation to visit Israel in the coming months, neither side gave a date for the expected trip.
A White House statement issued after Biden spoke with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on a phone call on Sunday emphasised how close and friendly their relations are, a contrast to the years of tension and bitterness between Bennett’s predecessor, Benjamin Netanyahu, and U.S. Democrats.
