Bidzina Ivanishvili thanks voters for support

Bidzina Ivanishvili, chairperson of the Georgian Dream coalition, thanked voters. As Ivanishvili stated after the results of exit polls were announced at the party's central office, now they can really celebrate, since the victory of Salome Zurabishvili was announced by the exit poll ordered by the opponent as well.

“After the first round, it was probably dangerous to make a reaction to the exit poll, but as far as this is not our internal poll, but a poll conducted by a foreign company, and that our opponent also announced exit poll results, we can really react to it. We are grateful to our voters and the society in general," Bidzina Ivanishvili said, InterPressNews reported.

According to the exit poll conducted by Edison Research, Salome Zurabishvili, presidential candidate supported by the ruling party, received 55% of votes, while Grigol Vashadze, presidential candidate of the United Opposition, received 45 % of votes in the second round of presidential elections. According to the exit poll conducted by the order of Imedi TV, Salome Zurabishvili received 58% of votes and Grigol Vashadze - 42%.
