Blatter: European Championships are necessary to tighten the limit on foreign players on the example

President of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Joseph Blatter has said that the European Championships should follow the example of Russia and tighten the limit on foreign players. 

Blatter also noted that the tightening of the limit in Russia should have a positive impact on its national team on the threshold of the 2018 World Cup. In his opinion, the best and at the same time optimal way is "5 foreign players plus 6 national players,’’ which is a little stricter than the proposal of Russia.
