Blatter says he has not resigned

FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter said he had not resigned, just offered his future to the extraordinary congress.

Blatter was re-elected on May 29, but four days later he announced his resignation. "I have not resigned, rather I am offering my mandate to an extraordinary congress," TASS cited Blatter as saying.

An extraordinary meeting of the executive committee of the organization, at which an election date will be chosen, will be held on July 20 in Zurich.
