Boeing officials plan to visit Iran

Boeing officials intend to visit Iran to have direct talks with Iranian airliners.

According to the secretary of Iran’s Aviation Companies Association, Maghsoud Asadi Samani, the United States has allowed Boeing to have direct talks with Iranian airliners following reports that a Boeing delegation will visit the country, Fars News reports.

Airbus agreed in January to sell Iran 118 planes after crippling international sanctions against Iran were lifted in return for Tehran curbing its nuclear program under a deal with major powers, Reuters reports.

Samani added there are currently 60 Boeings in service in Iran, comprising about 32% of the active fleet.
