Bordyuzha urged to avoid escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh

The escalation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh is unacceptable, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha said.

"We are watching the current situation with great concern, including events that are happening today in the Caucasus, especially the use of heavy weapons, the use of tanks on the frontline. I believe that the policy of our countries should be directed at avoiding a destabilization of the situation. It is a really serious conflict now in terms of large-scale military clashes,’’ Gazeta.ru reports. 

The Secretary General noted that the prospect threatens the entire Caucasus.
